About book All Afternoon With A Scandalous Marquess (2012)

This one was OK. Liked that Saint had pined for Catherine for so long and they eventually worked towards trusting each other with all tehir secrets to get an HEA.Major plot issues though. Again, were a couple of chapters taken out for no goddamn reason?!?! We have all this tension building with some danger thrown to add to the major point of conflict and then BAM apparently it's all been solved and nothing in this book even explains how. We only get a brief paragraph in the next book about how everything was resolved. BOOOO.Also slightly iffy about Frost having slept with Catherine too. I'm not judging or anything, and it actually makes sense that they probably would have slept together at some point, and I love that Frost doesn't do anything as long as he is aware that Saint's still not over her. Still, it's just a bit, to quote Monica Geller, "icky".Still looking forward to Frost's HEA though. I've been up and down with liking him though, and this book was a fairly up book regarding Frost. He's still as unnecessarily provoking as ever but I can imagine it must chafe like hell to find that all his best friends are dropping like flies and sort of moving on without him :( Poor baby, why don't you let me console you? ;)I also find it unlikely that Catherine would have gotten away with her double life for that long, especially considering so many people seem to know her secrets anyway and have been blackmailing her about it for ages. And also, why on earth was she so timid as Catherine? She's not the first h to become stronger with a mask on, but she's one of the only ones I've seen become so missish without it. Especially considering she's like the farthest from missish you could possibly be.And the mask thing was a personal LOL plot point for me anyway coz I kept seeing it in my head like when Marvel/DC superheroes put stupid non-disguises on to conceal their identity that no real person would fall for. Granted she had poor lighting to help disguise her further most of the time as Madame Venna but still. Also did the books get inexplicably shorter as the series went along or something? And I swear the first half of the books get slower polt-wise as every book goes along, while the back 30% gets increasingly ridiculous and infuriating. Book 5: All Afternoon with a Scandalous Marquess***** My Ratings *****Hero rating: 4Heroine rating: 3.5Steam/Action Factor: 4Plot/Storyline: 3.5Writing Style: 3***********************Overall rating: 3 – The thing that bothered me most about this book is that it started off really well but the last few chapters felt as though there was a big chunk of the story missing. One moment Madam V is going into a room to confront someone… Next she is moving. What happened? How was everything resolved? How does she not have any more threat? Way too many unanswered questions? ************************Favorite Books1 - After Dark with a Scoundrel 2 - Twilight with the Infamous Earl3 - All Night with a Rogue4 - Till Dawn with the Devil 5 - Sunrise with a Notorious Lord6 - All Afternoon with a Scandalous Marquess7 - Dusk with a Dangerous DukeFavorite Heroes:1 - Frost2 - Sin3 - Dare4 - Vane5 - Hunter6 - Reign 7 - SaintFavorite Heroines:1 - Regan2 - Sophia3 - Juliana4 - Isabel5 - Madam V/ Catherine6 - Emily 7 - Grace Overall Series Rating: 3 - I really liked this series. My only issue were that throughout the series there were parts of the story missing and the author left some of the storyline unresolved... but overall each story was unique and and liked how all characters were tied together in each book.
