Quirky. That's about the only word that I can come up with to describe this book. Most of it was unsatisfying - the plot, character development, setting, and definitely the ending. It also took me a while to figure out what was going on and the relationships between the characters. The characters were strange. All of them. The plot was just a comedy of errors that was somewhat less than a comedy. There wasn't really anyone in the story that was sympathetic, even Alison was a little less than likeable. I didn't HATE it, but it was bizarre. I wouldn't tell my friends to read this. This was an odd little book.I loved how strange the world was and even though I kept waiting for someone to not be idiotic or something other than luck to lead to a "victory", I really enjoyed it because of the voice and the premise. There were moments when I wasn't sure what was real but that added to the quirk.Definitely glad I read it before checking out its reviews though, the premise and cover sold me and the voice worked.
