Just finished this book and war will soon take place in the books to come, The Eathers have decided to go to war over the women taken or who have willingly gone with the aliean Kalqorians, A ancient race believed to be related to humans just a bit bigger, stronger and well more superior in every way and I mean every way.... This book was fast paced and leads to the next books in the series which of course will lead to the earth being no longer enhabitable.plasain A planet of peace still holds a Earth battle ship in statis left from the last book for first one in this series, A fight started over one woman who became pregnant by the Kalqorian clan in the first book. Earthers came to kill her since sex is pretty much a death penalty unless used in marriage for breeding only. And Earth is under one world government. This second book focus will be on two ladies left on the battleship who fled with help of plasains. One Jessica McInnis and the other Michaela Blake, There hopes are to find a Kalqorian clan to claim them and remove them from this current planet due to the threat of war from Earth, Seems Earthers still want to fight every body in the solar system even in the future over sins of sex even..both women have become good friends and both find clan mates but Jessicas Clan are princes 3 of them and they are promised to a woman back on their home planet but they do not like her nor does the woman they are to clan with like them, After meeting Jessica they all fall in love with her and it goes from there. Remember Earthers loyal to Earth still reside on Plasain since the battle ship they came in on is in statis and no police are on this planet. So when the loyalist see the to earth women in sin 'in their eyes' they plan to kill them and attack them. The clans come to the rescue but Jessica has been Critically hurt so read for yourself. This book series is basically about a alian race who are dying out. Their females are infertile. So earth women are their only hope but with the way earth religion has taken over they would rather kill their own people then to let them live freely any where or on any planet so each book is in the midst of war and life and death are very present, there are many funny parts in these books and lots of sex so if you cannot handle the sex don't read I find it very enjoyable to read and would lvoe to go to visit a Kalqorian clan ;-)So read for yourself. . This book started off interestingly enough, but I could have done without Michael/Micheala. It was interesting to see their interest in oddities like transsexuals (I was super glad there were no scenes of them together) but it was just pointless imo.I was flat out disgusted by Clajak for not disclosing his 'engagement' to Jessica before they had sex - but in his defense, I'm not too sure how he was expected to know that she was saving herself for her clan when she hadn't mentioned it at all. I guess he's just supposed to know since she's an Earther?Aside from that, I didn't care for Egilka's attitude for the beginning half of the book and found myself wondering why it was acceptable for him to take his frustrations of his own shortcomings out on Jessica. To say nothing of the antagonists - can't recall their names and didn't care enough to look them up. A father drugging his daughter and allowing three men to rape her was probably the tip of the iceberg for me.I liked the story, but there was so much drama going on that I think this is probably my least favorite in the whole series. Thanking God that I won't be seeing much more from these guys.
