Let me just say, I've always thought Ali Wentworth was funny and her life somewhat ironic. This autobiography is a fun little read. Yes, she's led a fairly charmed life, (SPOILER) but it's the sense that she rebelled against her upbringing only to find herself right back in the same town with the same people that's so ironic. The book is written with a light comedic touch. I listened to it as an audiobook and I loved literally getting Ali's voice in my head. It's definitely a fun read. I was interested in this book because I saw Ali and George being interviewed on Bravo’s Watch What Happens Live. I've been interested in his career and after watching her, I thougth well, she’s really funny and interesting; her book must be pretty good.Wrong.If this was supposed to be humorous, I didn’t get it. I found the short blurbs about her life to be whiny and self-indulgent … no wonder it took me weeks to trudge through this thing! I was bored with the stories about nothing. Little pieces that when I got to the end, my only take away was when in doubt, I should go to The Four Seasons and pamper myself in overindulgence.Maybe this would be better as audio book where you hear her voice, intonation, and pick up on the humor. Reading it? Not so much.
