About book Akagami No Shirayukihime - 赤髪の白雪姫, Vol. 01 (2007)
**This review is for the entire series (finished or unfinished). I started only adding the first volume from manga titles because, well, do you realize just how many volumes of One Piece there are?!**This is yet another one of my favorite manga of all time. I know that I have a lot of favorites...but when a manga is good, it's good, you know?The cast is one of the most lovable I've ever encountered. Especially Obi. He's so cute, it's almost annoying. (Almost.) The historical-fantasy feel is something that's so overdone I've often balked at it, but I enjoyed it here. The only thing about this manga that bothers me on occasion is the plot; sometimes I have no idea where it's going (seeming lack of logical progression). A chemist, and quite a brave female lead, to walk into the woods by herself, it should've been pretty interesting. But then its episodic nature has a rather repetitive pattern and thus there's little motive for me to actually read it wholeheartedly. The girl was in some problem, then the prince charming came to rescue her. The interesting female lead character ended up wasted and didn't really do much later, blended in with other shoujo stereotypical characters.Each episode also felt too short for me, it actually makes me think that, every once in a while, it might be good to have the prince charming to come very late in his rescues.The artwork is pretty decent. There seems to be more interest in the wardrobes with some of the details. While there's nothing more to its style, which just seems like the other shoujo style.I wish to see some significant continuity in the future, and more medicine dispensing.
