What is it?This book is realistic fantasy, and there is a major plot twist at the end. If you liked Percy Jackson, you make like this novel. When I first set eyes on this book, it intrigued me to no end. I immediately bought it. But the further I read, the more sick of it I became - creepy but unattractive. I forced myself to read it until the end, and after a while, it started to really freak me out. The more I read though, the more it sucked me in, the more I started to enjoy it. I wouldn't say it's one of the best books I've read, but I'd definitely recommend it when asked for a book rec. I shed so many tears when reading this book, and felt so lost and depressed when I finished. Creepy and angsty at first but touching and sad as the story goes on, "The Last Academy" may not be as good as it seems at first glance, but it's still a worth-while read.
