About book Agatha H And The Clockwork Princess (2012)
If you follow the comic it is a fun read. If you don't , give it shot it is well written. My only complaint is that the necessity of constantly reminding you of the mechanics of the world the authors create gets a little annoying sometimes. Most of the times they manage to make it funny and interesting. It is a fun project and I can honestly say I literally don't know of anything of similar scope and quality available. The novelization of the second trio of Agatha Heterodyne graphic novels. And the one in which they found a grip on the new medium and started to use it to more advantage.It sticks faithfully to the story as presented in the original, though some summary describes things that happened between the dramatic scenes, filling us in on details, like those of Agatha's stay with the circus, and how clanks started to work better even though no one saw her work on them, but they didn't want to raise the issue left it go away. And we get more point-of-view from people. (When Dimo asked, "But. . .. vy?", for instance, he surprised himself.) Which also fills in details.It also introduces footnotes with tantalizing tidibts of info about the world. Did you know Alfonso Mucha was a Spark, one of the rare ones who turned artist rather than scientist?
