Oh. My. Loved this story! It has the same feel and emotional pull as No Apologies, the first book in the series, but it's even better. I liked Kit and Jeremy even more than I did the MCs in book 1. I did, however, really enjoy seeing Greg and Aaron again in Acting Out.This was a hard book to put down. It referred to a future movie featuring Kit and Jeremy. Book 4 is of the same title, so I'm looking forward to seeing these guys again in a day or two, after I've read book 3.This is a great series. I'm not usually a big fan of flashback reads, but these work! ACTING OUT is a wonderfully emotional MM romance with stellar characters. I loved book one in this series. So I was prepared for disappointment when I realized the leads from book one weren't the leads here. That lasted until the end of page one. I got totally sucked into this romance. Jeremy and Kit are such complicated characters. They're strong in some areas and surprisingly vulnerable in others. Jeremy's acceptance of his sexuality is totally at odds with Kit's but watching them find balance as a couple was delicious, both sexually and emotionally--often times simultaneously! There is one scene where Kit is deciding if he's going to reciprocate sexual gratification with Jeremy and the angst is heart-wrenching for both characters.The plot is tied to Jeremy and Kit filming the movie and the author did a great job of running the movie scenes parallel to the men's real relationship. This added a lot of believable tension to their romance and progressed it in realistic steps.I do have to say that Kit's former girlfriend is a cookie-cutter villain and I thought she was an unnecessary plot device. In my opinion the romance between Jeremy and Kit had enough drama and tension that it didn't need anything external. Still, this is a minor, minor quibble in relation to how stellar the romance was.ACTING OUT is a great MM romance I'd highly recommend to readers wanting emotional intimacy with their sexual intimacy.
