First Thoughts: Accidentally Dead is the second in Dakota Cassidy's Accidental Series and although funny it had way more harsh language than I care for which had a little barring on my rating this time.I new going into this one that because it was based on Nina that it was going to have some course language I just don't think I was thinking it was going to be that bad. Nina is a very brass person to begin with and you find that out in the first book. Now she is accidentally bitten by a vampire who is under anesthesia while getting his tooth filed. This does not set well with Nina at all and she wants it undone.Greg has a strict no biting policy with his vampire clan so he feels really bad about what happened to Nina. Be that as it may there is not much he can do for her but make sure she drinks her blood like she should so she doesn't die. They clash at every turn and his not taking any of Nina's crap is actually a turn on for her. She is not use to a man not cowering when she gets going on a verbal rampage.Of course Nina's friends are also around to help her with her transition and try and help her find a way out of being a vampire. Marty, newly turned werewolf tries her best to get Nina to just accept things because she knows first hand that there is no going back once bitten. Wanda drags out all her paranormal romances about vampires to help Nina find out what she needs to do to stay alive.Nina is a fun character despite her mouth and she is very spunky. Getting to know her background helps you understand her a bit more and why she acts so tough. Greg is sexy and fun, I love the way he puts Nina in her place and doesn't take her crap. He is the perfect person for Nina and they make such a cute couple.Accidentally Dead is just as hilarious as the first book and a little bit steamier. I will caution you that if you get more offended by fowl language than I do that you will not like this novel. I think listening to it made the language a bit more harsh than getting to skip over it when reading. Overall I really did enjoy this novel and can't wait to read about Wanda in the next book.[su_note note_color="#92cc87"]Narrator: Meredith Mitchell[/su_note]Meredith is growing on me as a narrator although I think her Marty voice is more her than her Nina voice. She does pretty good with male voices. Overall I really enjoyed the narration. Book 2 in the Accidentally Friends series. Nina, best friend of Marty the new werewolf, is a potty-mouth dental hygienist whose first day on the job turns her into a vampire.Nina complained that Marty whinged about her werewolfness in the previous book, but Nina complained and whinged and was the Queen of Denial about her vampness. This series is funny, lets face it they get their info from Wiki and romance novels, but Nina was a bit too mean to Greg. Greg is her unwitting Sire and very hot and very nice and very forgiving. Nina was starting to show some growth by the end of the book so that bodes well for the rest of the series. Next time I want light and fluffy I'll read the next one in the series.
I really liked this book. There was quite a bit of swearing, but that's part of this character.
