About book Access Denied: And Other Eighth Grade Error Messages (2009)
I was right. Couldn't measure up to the first one. I felt that Erin acted like a total brat in this one and then went and tried to blame everything on other people. I thought the developement with Reede could have been a little more but overall I just didn't like it all that much. Mark was as adorable as ever! Loved the ending (that's why it got two stars) But Theres the problem with underage dating.. So there going to STILL be together in 6, 7 years?? Yup, my prob wiht This kind of YA Fiction. REVIEWWill Erin and Mark end up together or not? First Erin likes Mark and he doesn’t like her. Then Mark likes and Erin and she doesn’t like him. Lather Rinse Repeat. These two go back-and-forth so many times that it made me dizzy. Erin is living down all the embarrassing things that happened to her in seventh grade. That story is covered in Click Here: To Find Out How I Survived Seventh Grade. I have not read the first book, but I was able to figure out what was going on just fine. One of the most embarrassing things was that Erin’s blog, and all it’s personal posts, had gone viral in seventh grade. This time around, Erin has her blog set to private and some of the posts are included in the book. They gave me a glimpse of the real Erin.Aside from the Erin and Mark drama, there is a second plot going on with Erin’s lockermate, Reede. Now, I have to say that Reede is not the kind of girl you want as a friend. She is a rule-breaking trouble-maker and she tries to influence Erin in a bad way. Access Denied is a good book but the plot was a little too predictable for me. Thank you to Little, Brown and Company for sending this book for me to review.RATING3 Plot3 Characters3 Attention Grabbing4 Girlie Meter3 Ending16 TOTAL4 STARS
