This book was well written but I had a hard time getting into it. At times I wanted to give up on it but I forced myself to stay with it. It finally came together and held my attention for more than a few pages at a time. The character development was ok. I felt like I knew more ow Catherine felt and went through than I did with William which made it hard to connect tons character. I liked that the story line was different having to do with photographing food and not the same boring stuff you see a lot of in books. The thing that annoyed me most was the consent running from Catherine and the chase from William. Sheesh get over your issues already no need to leave constantly. I read a few reviews and ppl compared this book to 50 shades. I didn't see the connection except that he was a billionaire that had commitment issues, but his issues really weren't that big a deal. Good book but I probably won't read the next in the series. Okay, I'm writing this review while it's still fresh. Honestly this could have easily been a 4 star read for me had it not been for the timing in the story. I just couldn't get my mind to move past how quickly the romance developed between the two characters. The overall storyline, angst, steam and heart ache were wonderful. I liked Catherine and William together. But, I found the strong emotions they felt were unbelievable. I think the whole story and romance took place in a matter of weeks. I found it hard to believe a man like William, someone who has never been in a relationship, has his dates pre-selected and timed, would obsess over a complete stranger from the moment he laid eyes on her to the point where he becomes instantly protective and possessive. The same goes for Catherine. She mentions on their third encounter that she's not into casual sex and is not relationship material, but yet a relationship is exactly what she embarks on with William.Again, had the author slowed down the timing some and let these characters get to know each other, I could see a 4 star read. But once the mention of love was brought into the picture and the vulnerability William shows, it was too much too soon.
