I love the recipes in these books...and they come up like little surprises, for the particular dish isn't always mentioned first, if at all. This story picks up with the youngest of the Kauffman clan, Sarah and I've to say, even without seeing a picture, I can tell Luke is such a dreamboat. Although, I found myself practically cheering out loud for another character in the book -- Eli; particularly when he set Timothy straight about butting into another's business. It was also good to have a cameo of Jessica towards the end. I'm also enjoying the intermittent Bible verses within the story; they even re-introduced me to some Bible passages I'd not known (or rather didn't remember) before the reading. In the second book of the Kauffman Amish Bakery series Sarah Rose, Rebecca little sister, faces many hardships. The family owned furniture store where her husband works caught fire and her husband was killed. She recently found out she was pregnant with twins as well as a unknown family member of her husband Peter came to town. Sarah Rose has a really hard time putting together the pieces and accepting her husbands past. I really enjoyed reading this book and reading about how much faith Sarah and all the Amish have in the Lord.
Do You like book A Promise Of Hope (2010)?
a great sequel to her first Amish Bakery book. I hope she has more in the works.
