About book A Man For The Summer (2012)

I enjoyed this. Quite liked Junior and Griff - very strong, interesting characters.I felt the whole medical condition thing was a great starting point for getting the couple together, but felt it was lost later on in the romance. They never did have a discussion about what would happen if they couldn't have a kid - which, since that was one of the main forces behind getting together, probably should have at least been discussed.Fun, quick read. This book was free to download back in March (and I have only now got round to reading it - currently trying to read books I have had for ages). The cover and title had me hooked straight away!Griff Ross has tooth ache and ends up making a visit to Junior Atkinson. When they meet their is plenty of banter and funny comments between them and also Junior's aunt who helps out in the dental practise. Junior wants a baby and she wants one soon as she thinks her time is running out. He aunt tells her to hook up with the next male to arrive in town - which so happens to be Griff. Griff manages to get the wrong end of the stick and thinks that Junior is dying so takes pity on her. So the rest of the books following them. The conflict in this book is at times laugh out loud. It works well and I did not see it coming. The characters are all good and I liked that it was set in a small town. I know their has been some bad reviews for this book but please ignore them - this is a really good read.
