This was one of those books that left me with a smile on my face after reading the last page. It was sweet, heartbreaking, intense, mysterious, and funny. I found myself rooting for Caleb and Sylvie throughout reading this beautiful novel.The auhor did an amazing job of weaving this love story together piece by piece. Not once did it feel rushed or forced. I honestly loved this book! It wasn't too over the top sweet or intense. It was just right. It was life, it was friendship, it was love... I know I am making little to no sense right now, but the best books always leave you speechless. I really enjoyed this book. The relationship between those two characters was amazing! I thought it was cute that both the characters started out as friends before the became lovers, and I like the fact that the realized the loved each other from a young age and not after what happened to Sylvie. The plot was really good and well written. The characters are enjoyable. The only thing I had a problem with is the dialog in the chapter when the were twelve years old. I felt like that's not how a twelve year old person would talk like so I didn't connect with the characters in that chapter. Overall I think the book was great. Overall rating: 4/5 stars.
