I can't say that this book really "did it" for me. The plot was good and held great potential, but I didn't think it was executed very well. I found that the first half of the book kind of dragged on and I found myself not caring if I ever picked it up again or not. It was a great story of opposites that attract to each other; the good witch doctor and the not so nice demon patient. The characters were great and I loved reading about them and how they grew throughout the book. The plot just wasn't very entertaining or very fast paced. I did make it through the book, but only because I enjoyed the characters and the humor that was interwoven into the book. I can't say I would rush to pick up the next book in the series. Perhaps it was just me, but I just didn't find it to be a very "had me hooked from page one" type of book at all.3/5 Stars This is #2 in the Demons series (but #6 in the Jazz Tremaine & Friends series). Don't read this unless you've read some or all of the previous books in the series. I have to admit, I think this is the weakest book in the series thus far. Jared's ability to get to Lili meant that there was never any real angst over them never being able to be together. I know it's a minor thing but sometimes it's those things that bother me. That said, I still love this series and I look forward to reading more books about each of the witches who were kicked out of the academy together 700 years ago!
Most of it was relentlessly mundane for a paranormal story, but I gave up pretty early on.

I can relate to the main character and it was so much fun to read.
