Okay. I get the whole Philadelphia Story idea and had a great Gary Grant image in a fedora. The Christian theme was a little...no very preachy and almost thrown in there as a second thought to make it a Christian theme. I thought I was being lectured from the evangelical pulpit!Eight years also seemed like a long time to be apart and you do find out that Luc pops into Katie's life once a year or so but not until close to the end of the book. Tertiary characters were very very shallow. Ok, we get it that Aimee', Luc's mother, doesn't approve of Katie but we find out most of this AND an apology (sort of) all in one scene. Cramped and blurted out!I am all for HEA but really? The ending was SO unrealistic! Uniquelly Irish!!! One of the books that I loved so much that I read and reread it, I probably can retell it with all the details.. Lol. I know she humiliated and pushed him a lot but I would have done the same thing to pay for,ohh so terrible, public humiliation. IThis book made me fall in love with swing-dance era. Very captivating story line, stubborn and witty characters, full of wisdom irish momma, and ofcourse passionate love that still is in flames after 8 agonizing years...

Not bad, Christian chick-lit. Predictable. Katie's mother was probably the best character.
