Hmmm. What can I say. Good writing - Yes, you can say that. Creative story - yes, that is a fact as well. My type of read? Absolutely not. 15 years ago, this was my type of book - the cookie cutter suspense 'who-done-it' thriller. The book is good. I got the whole box set for free off of some daily E mail crap I get in my inbox, yet am to lazy to cancel. It was the only book left on my kindle on a long flight, that I had not yet read, and that did not need to be re-downloaded.Cool story. A couple interesting twists. Just not my type of book. With that being said, I will be sure to read the other two in the box set, some day, when I am out of books, only because I hat leaving an UN-finished book. This books was excellent! Somewhere between The Sopranos, The Game, and Disclosure. There certainly are a lot of characters, but it wasn't incredibly hard to keep up with. Definitely a great corporate novel, but not one stuck in the court or board room. Two families competing in a similar business with a little mafioso mixed in...hell yeah!! For those who suggested that this was a real downer of a book where everybody hates everybody...I'd only suggest this as more of a dark genre; not nearly as hateful as I would have expected. This needs to me a movie!!! Can't wait to read the next two in the series!
Do You like book 5ème AVENUE (2013)?
Good read, lots of twist and turns. His next one is Wallstreet.
