I bought this book on a whim and I am really glad that I did. I am sad to say that I did not review it until I happened to read another book by this author. I am glad that I did, because this book was total worth getting. The way that he commanded attention and what he expects from his submissive is amazing. The way the book ended in away surprised me because it was completely opposite of his personality and what you will come to expect from this story. I was appalled at the way it was written. The plot is typical-a love story between a messed-up guy who's into BDSM and a girl who has never been in love or in lust and it ends in a commitment. But there are so many details that I'd rather have omitted in the book since these details gave a lot of readers the wrong impression especially when it comes to treating women. BDSM is a lifestyle, not a psychiatric disorder. For it to work, there must be respect coming from both parties which was not exhibited by the guy, Rhett. I can't believe the girl, Leah, allowed Rhett to go as far as treating her like a whore! I've never liked BDSM in books until Fifty Shades came along. At least, in the trilogy written by E.L. James, the respect is clear between Christian and Anna, and it made the whole thing seem decent enough for public consumption. While Rhett, in 10 Nights, came to realize his feelings for Leah and offered marriage to keep her, there's still something missing in their relationship and in the story. I can't quite put a finger on it but that something is found between Christian and Anna and that something is the reason I will never recommend this book to my friends!
Do You like book 10 Nights (2012)?
It was well written, but it just really disturbed me and then the sequel. UGH!
