This book has clear target readers: Non-MBA students. So if you are currently doing MBA and think of purchasing this as your complementary reading material, you better spend your money on other books. But if you're a fresh graduate who plans to work for business or creates your own business, then this book is for you.This book is a complete package, containing numerous things you need to know about business (from finance, sales and marketing, organisation behaviour, HR, operations management, etc.) as if you have no prior knowledge or experience in business. Written using digestible vocabularies and uncomplicated examples, this is pretty much what you need for general business understanding. Another thing you will find interesting about this book is the self-help contents the author explores. And, oh, the quotes in every subtitle are also simply inspirational and (sometimes) witty.However, since this book provides only general insight, you cannot expect the same throughput as what MBA students out there learn. You might need to launch your browser and Google some terms you find hard to understand, such as financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, or cash flow statement) as the author does not provide adequate examples. And for MBA students, I also don't think they can refer to this book for their case studies :p There are so many concepts explained in this book that I almost felt like I was reading a dictionary/encyclopedia (a well written one that held my attention, but he explains so many concepts). There are plenty of stories in the book (to better illustrate the concepts). This is an easy to read business book that is extremely content rich.Charles Darwin's quote (also in the book) is apropos here, "Ignorance more frequently begets confidence than does knowledge." After reading this book I feel more knowledgeable and less confident (also see the Dunning–Kruger effect). Should I read it again (maybe after my confidence can take being knocked down again) or get out there and put all of this info to use?
