At first I was extremely confused, since I thought that everyone was already in the Survey Corps, (especially because everyone had already done a mission to reclaim wall Rose territory), but then I realized that this whole volume basically was a huge flashback. I absolutely love this part, and although the whole 'flashback' thing was probably supposed to make it more 'dramatic', I feel that it would have been better if the training was shown during the actual time it was happening like in the anime. (Sorry if I comparing to the anime...)For some reason I really liked the part when Eren struggles with keeping balance on the equipment, (the simplest task) and it turns out it wasn't his fault. I know this isn't the nicest thing to say, but I also thought it was hilarious when Eren totally face-planted. It even showed the dramatic motion of him falling!!I love Sasha's personality too! She's always eating food, and is more upset about not being able to eat than having to run 'till she drops dead.' She can be kind of scary when she's desperate though...When Eren succeeded and gave Mikasa a look that said: "See that! I'm capable of handling myself, and now you don't have to worry about me!" And Mikasa's just like: "He's so happy now that he doesn't have to be separated from me." Then everyone just looks at her like she's insane. Only Mikasa doesn't realize that Eren wants to be independent...I'm a bit upset that they didn't have more involving Levi, and really explaining who he is, (even though I already know) :). The only part that had him was him saving Eren and Armin, and at the end. When he turned around, it looked so cool that I drew it, (but I can't get the face... Guess he's going to be slender Levi). XDThis is kind of a minor spoiler, but I'm not actually saying anything directly. I found it kind of hilarious when Eren was talking to other Titan-Shifters, (unknowingly of course), and then kind of casually said something about his strong demand to basically slaughter the Titans, and the Titan shifter's faces!!! Their faces said it all: "Oh God, he wants to kill us really really bad, and he said it so CASUALLY! We better watch out for him..."Haha just had to point that out for people who know who I'm talking about.Other than the whole fact that this was a flashback volume, and the order of events was kind of weird, I absolutely loved it with the detailed training session. WHERE CAN I BUY A BOX SET OF THIS SERIES?!? Ugh... :( This volume was basically about training to defeat Titans. I personally don't have anything wrong with training arcs, only that they are not as exciting as actual fights. This volume could have delved much deeper into the characters and their relationships with one another. We were introduced to another character. Sasha a.k.a. Potato girl is probably one of the better characters of the series. It is always nice when a character has a ridiculous hobby - in this case potatoes.

Series gets better and better and you're wonder what'll happen next. Interesting volume.
