About book Match Me (2000)

This was a short and somewhat cute novella about a girl who just couldn't let go of a crush. And the thing of it was, she really didn't have much of a chance with the guy, since he liked to just use her whenever it was convenient for him. This made her have blinders on to the fact that someone else could be better for her. Bonnie made a lot of stupid decisions in this story, making me think it was a more New Adult Romance than a contemporary one. It was a good way to pass the afternoon, but not worth keeping or continuing the series. I happen to like that Taylor Swift song "Speak Now." So...when the opening scene of this novella started out exactly like the song, I was hooked. There were some funny parts in the story (flying shoe, internet dates gone bad, E. Coli stuffed toy, etc), but I still didn't really connect with Bonnie. She seemed very stuck on her ex, Chase, and then snap! she's over him. As far as content goes, this book had some language and there was a time when Bonnie thought she was pregnant (by the way, that whole store incident was pretty funny), but there were no details given on that whole situation. So...it is technically a clean read, aside from some vague mentions of this and that.
