About book Figure Eight (2000)

Figure-Eight by Cassy Roop 5 out of 5Just as well-written as the first book in this series, and just as HOT!! Ms Roop continues with the characters I connected with in the first book, and picks up right where the last one left off. This book isn’t any less gut-wrenching, and I spent almost all of the book aching for the characters and their situations. Dominic had so much more depth in this book and I kept wanting to yell at him and explain everything that was happening so he would stop hurting so badly. I was actually angry with Ashley and had to force myself to try to see things from her perspective. I felt sorry for Rownan most of the time and was pretty shocked by the twist with him at the end. I was actually happy for the cliffhanger at the end of this book and all the other little surprises along the way. The only thing that would’ve made it better would be if the next book was available and I could’ve just kept reading. Keep up the good work, Ms. Roop, I cannot wait to get to the ending!A complimentary copy was given in exchange for an honest review.Amanda, My Secret Book Spot This book has 5 stars but I want to give her 4 for giving me a heart attack of a cliffhanger LOL!!Cassy has done it again!! Another amazing book by an amazing author! If you have not read Ashley's Bend, the first in the Celtic Knot Series, DO NOT read Figure Eight!! A knot can bind together, or choke you to death. That is what has seemed to have happened with our amazing couple Nic and Ash.Figure Eight picks up right where Ashley's Bend left off, and the repercussions from Ashley’s actions continue to play out. Everyone Ashley is close to has turned on her due to her lies, and now, she’s left to deal with the people who are not only ruining her relationship with Dominic, but also trying to destroy his life and career. She has no way out of the situation she finds herself in because the risks are too high for those she cares about, including a new man in her life. As she tries to figure out a way to turn the tables on her blackmailers, she may end up losing more than she ever thought. And then there’s Dominic…the one woman he allowed into his heart, only to betray it. His head tells him to forget her and plot his revenge, but his heart and body still desperately want her. He is seeing her with another man, a man he knows, and it is tearing him apart. Fighting his desires for her vs. his rage of anger for what she has done to him both personally and professionally. "No matter what I did, my thoughts always went back to her. I felt like I was constantly chastising myself for allowing her to invade my thoughts. It was like a fucking figure eight knot. We were two loops formed by one continuous line that crossed one another, an interweaving pattern that chased each other around, never ending."Confusion only escalates for Nic because he is left to fight his innocence with his best friend and HERS. None of them can understand Ashley's actions for what she has done to them all. Betrayal is not a character trait for Ashley and they know it. They just have to figure out why and keep their distance at the same time. Will the truth finally surface? Story to continue in the third book of the series: Triquerta which cannot come soon enough!!!!
